When Rachel began her job search, she knew she wanted to work at an agency where the work impacted real people, and the work done could be shared among all team members. When she came across Hawthorne, she was drawn by a wide variety of client work and a small team. As a social butterfly, Rachel views Hawthorne’s small team as an enormous benefit to our clients, noting it has been a great way to collaborate, learn from one another, and make an amazing group of friends!
Prior to her work at Hawthorne, Rachel worked as an intern at numerous communications organizations, but most recently, worked as an external communications specialist at Exelon Corporation. Her most memorable experience there was being part of the media relations team during a companywide merger with Pepco Holdings Inc. in Washington, D.C. Rachel also worked closely with the Corporate Relations team to drive volunteer efforts and media coverage.
Rachel graduated from DePaul University in 2015 with a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in Psychology.
Outside of work, you can find Rachel at the Steppenwolf Theater Company with her fellow theater lovers on the Young Associates Board.
