Originally focusing his studies on business, Dan homed in on the communications industry after taking an intro to advertising and public relations class. From there, Dan pursued multiple projects outside of class, filming, editing and writing his own advertisements, and pursuing various internships to further his development.

Dan’s career path eventually led him to Hawthorne, where he leverages his knowledge, creativity, and wide range of marketing and communications experience for his clients. His standout career accomplishments include a PCC Silver Trumpet for a product launch campaign; increasing traffic to a client lead form by 10% in a single quarter; dominating media coverage at CES two years in a row – securing 1.5B to 2B earned media impressions each year – and helping a 10-year-old comedian earn the “Hero of the Pandemic” title in Newsweek and USA Today.

Dan’s approach to communications involves a holistic view, as he knows communication strategies work best when each channel works in harmony toward a shared goal. His versatile background in owned content creation,

marketing materials development, social media strategy, and media relations enables him to place clients in front of their desired audience.

Prior to joining the Hawthorne team, Dan held positions at an integrated marketing agency and a global public relations agency. Dan has worked on a wide range of clients from a neighborhood karaoke bar to a global leader in artificial intelligence and robotics.

Education: Northern Arizona University (Bachelor of Science: Strategic Communications with a Double Emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations and a Minor in Visual Communications)
