Each year, Mondelēz International, maker of chocolate brands like Milka and Toblerone, sends around a dozen employees to Ghana, dubbed “Joy Ambassadors”, to participate in a skills-exchange program with cocoa farmers. Now in its fourth year, the Joy Ambassador program gives Ghanan cocoa farming communities a boost by tapping the talents of Mondelēz International’s most passionate employees to make a difference in communities around the globe.
Tasked with executing media outreach for the program, Hawthorne reached out to local media as well as CSR and HR publications. Placements have been secured in Daily Herald Business Ledger, Human Resources People + Strategy and Human Resource Executive.
