  • Gold for Best Brand Launch: Solar Powers Illinois. Hawthorne was recognized with the gold award for Best Brand Launch at the Bulldog PR Awards for our work with Solar Powers Illinois. This campaign was more than just a brand launch; it was a crucial step for the sustainable energy industry in Illinois. By positioning Solar Powers Illinois and its partner organizations as leading voices in the renewable energy conversation, we successfully engaged the community and helped drive the state’s push toward a greener future. Today, this campaign reaches dozens of elected officials, has garnered 1.72 billion media impressions, and is providing crucial information for members of the public and the solar industry to support Illinois’ transition to renewable energy.

  • Bronze for Best Use of Influencers: Influencing the Next Generation of Dental Professionals. Our campaign for the Chicago Dental Society, "Influencing the Next Generation of Dental Professionals," earned us a bronze award for the Best Use of Influencers at the Bulldog PR Awards. By collaborating with key influencers in the dental field, we reached aspiring professionals and inspired them to pursue their careers. This award showcases our ability to leverage influencer marketing to create meaningful and lasting connections. We reached more than 94,500 Instagram profiles, garnered more than 1,350 engagements, and generated more than 450 clicks to the registration page on the Chicago Dental Society website.


  • Award of Excellence: Best Use of Print/Online Publishing. Hawthorne proudly received the PRSA Chicago Skyline Award of Excellence for Best Use of Print/Online Publishing. Our "Secrets to Small Business Success Blog,” developed for the Women’s Business Development Center, offered invaluable insights and resources to women who own or want to own their own business, equipping them with skills to navigate and excel in today's entrepreneurial landscape.

  • Award of Excellence: Engaging the Next Generation of Dentists Through Influencers. We were also recognized for our campaign for the Chicago Dental Society and received the Award of Excellence in the Influencer Marketing category. Working with leading dental influencers, we were able to reach aspiring professionals and spark their interest in dental careers.

  • Skyline Award: Northwest Indiana Choice Scholar. Our “Northwest Indiana Choice Scholar” campaign, developed for the Big Shoulders Fund of Northwest Indiana and the Catholic Diocese of Gary, was recognized for Integrated Communications - Associations/Government/Nonprofit Organizations also by PRSA. This campaign successfully achieved the goal of increased awareness of the Indiana Choice Scholarship Program, leading to greater enrollment in local schools.


  • Communications and Campaigns: Blog Winner. We were honored to be the Blog winner in the PR News Nonprofit Awards’ Communications and Campaign’s category. Developed with the Women’s Business Development Center, this blog focuses on uplifting women-owned businesses and small business owners.

  • Honorable Mention: PR on a Shoestring Budget. Our work with Lasagna Love on its “Layering Love on National Lasagna Day” campaign garnered us an honorable mention for PR on a Shoestring Budget. We are proud to support non-profit organizations like Lasagna Love and aid them in carrying out their mission of providing meals to those in need.
