You might say Britt Logan DiGiulio was destined to work in media relations. Her parents met in a newsroom and as early as six years old, she was assembling press kits for her mom’s public relations agency.
Two decades later, her professional career brought her to Hawthorne, where Britt has put her lifelong passion to work for non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, and international corporations, among other clients. Her favorite accomplishments include executing a media strategy that increased industry share of voice by over 30% in one year, penning an op-ed on gender equality that was featured in Crain’s Chicago Business’ Morning 10, and securing three live shots on CNBC for a retail client (during which she jumped up and down in her living room, and then had to explain to her confused husband why this was a major career milestone).
Channeling her love of spreadsheets and background in research, Britt brings analytic insight to communications strategy and measurement. As one of the architects and leaders of Hawthorne’s brand reputation practice, Britt has conducted brand reputation analyses for global companies in industries ranging from manufacturing to healthcare, using the insights she collects to inform communications strategies.
For her leadership and commitment to client service, Britt was part of the inaugural class of the Publicity Club of Chicago’s “30 Under 30” in 2019.
Prior to joining the team at Hawthorne, Britt served as press secretary for U.S. Senator Mark Kirk. During her time at Senator Kirk’s office, Britt led media relations and community engagement efforts in the Illinois market on behalf of the Senator, including the execution of press events across the state. Britt began her media relations career in Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart’s Department of Policy and Communications.
