Following her time working in Corporate Communications at a multinational financial institution, Marisa is eager to bring her communications expertise back to Hawthorne Strategy Group. Having spent time at Hawthorne before working on the corporate client side, she is excited to return to the agency and is confident that the firm’s agile approach to client service and diverse combination of clients will provide her with a new meaningful opportunity to learn.
Prior to rejoining the Hawthorne team, Marisa served as a Corporate Communications Manager at BMO Harris Bank. During her time at BMO, Marisa effectively managed program and executive communications strategy, employee engagement campaigns, corporate social responsibility initiatives and diversity and inclusion outreach. She also provided change management and communication support to large-scale technology implementations. Marisa began her career at Hawthorne with duties that included client service, strategy development and content creation.
Marisa received her bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising and communications/media with a minor in graphic design and her master’s in organizational and multicultural communications from DePaul University.
When she is not walking her dogs, Marisa enjoys traveling to new places, trying new breweries and indoor rock climbing.
