Meghan joined Hawthorne Strategy Group as an Assistant Account Manager in August 2018. The collaborative environment and diverse range of clients were a few of the main aspects that attracted her to Hawthorne.
While at Hawthorne, Meghan has harnessed her experience in media relations and research to participate in media monitoring and outreach, assist in events planning, and execute communications strategies. An organized, creative thinker, Meghan is always willing to jump into new projects and has worked on a wide array of clients, from non-profit organizations to financial institutions. In all aspects of her work, Meghan values teamwork and effective communication.
Prior to joining Hawthorne, Meghan interned for a variety of companies and businesses in Chicago. Before her sophomore year, she interned with a social services organization, The Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council, where she researched target audience demographics and media targets for the organization. She then interned at DePaul University’s Office of Public Relations and Communications. Meghan worked closely with DePaul’s public relations team to write press releases and provide updates on the university to students and stakeholders.
Meghan graduated from DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising, and a minor in English literature.
Outside of work, you can find Meghan painting, spending time with her cat, Nala, or reading — almost always with a coffee in hand!
